Way to go Pius Pirates. This win took your hard work, determination, team work and grit - along with lots of ice, tylenol and one trip to the ER. Your awesome teamwork skills led to 2 tries by Lindsey and 2 by Sarah K. (one with a 65 yard run) and one conversion by Ellie. This win would not have been possible if you all had not played your hardest! You showed your ability to think on your feet, play different positions as needed and that heat stroke could not even stop you. This win is even more incredible when you look at the fact that our team played down Iplayers on the field for part of the second 1/2 (down 2 players to be exact). I would also like to thank all the injured for having the courtesy to be injured on our side of the field so I did not have to run so far. Congratulations on your well earned win. The boys may have lost homecoming to CMH but the GIRLS RUGBY TEAM won it back.

HELP FUNDRAISING

We are in need of ideas to raise funds for the club. Other clubs have suggested selling candy (which we cant do till after mag/cal), and selling hot dogs at Walmart on weekends. Any comments or ideas please let us know. The money would be used for future purchases and tournaments that will start up in the spring.

Saturdays Match

Saturday's game is at Minooka Park (where our first game was), it'll be at 11ish so get there by 10:15. Don't forget that there is a fee to enter the park. Dann will be there by match time, but I will be there early. Any families willing to bring gallon jugs of water please let me know.

Any girls who know that they can not be there or can not play must let us know before Saturday. If you need a ride or carpool arrangements please email or call me. Unfortunately Abby and Brit are not able to play, so we will most likely be unopposed scrums.

Oak Creeks game Sunday

For those of you that are going to watch the Oak Creek game:
They have given us subs and we have filled in for them when we have played at different times on the same field. We do not know if they will need subs for the game BUT if you are going and may want to fill in should the need arise proper ediquite is to have your kit in the car (you can wear your shorts)please don't wear your cleats etc. We will be at the game and talk with their coach to see if they may need subs and then let you know if you should get your kit. Sunday's extras

Somehow we ended up with more clothing than we started with. If you are missing sweatpants, sweatshirts or shirts please see Dann or I on Wed. If you took home a jersey it must be returned CLEAN on Wed. (PS I had to wash the jerseys several times!!!) We will be posting pictures as soon as Dann and I figure out this bucket thing. If your family took pictures we would love to see them. You can e-mail them, print them or put them on a disk. I am working on something special for the end of year.

Due to the fact that we now only have 14 players able to play on Sunday we need you to be there at 11:30 since we may need to change the time and play a round robin instead of the game.

Here are the directions to Sunday's game at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex, strating from Pius. You should all be there and ready by 12:30 to pracrice and stretch before the game that will start around 1:15 (may be earlier). As always there will be food afterwards, as a courtesy please stay and at LEAST say thank you to the hosting team, to have sportsmanship and well derr MANNERS! It's the rugby way.

Wearing Jerseys

I spoke with Dr Skrade today about wearing our match jerseys and she said we could as long as they are not inappropiate. So i will bring them along with me on Thursday. IF YOU TAKE ONE HOME YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM!!! IF SOMEONE LOSES THEIRS OR FORGETS THEIRS ON GAMEDAY WE WILL HAVE TO RETHINK THIS AND YOU WONT HAVE A SHIRT TO WEAR. but noone will so all is cool Dann

If anyone needs a ride to the pitch please let us know by email or phone
(258-6927). Dann would like everyone to be there around 2ish to watch some of the a-side game and to run some plays. Our game is around 3:30. If parents do not want to wait we are willing to drive girls out early. If parents drop you off they can re-enter the park with their receipt. Since this game was rescheduled (and the male coaches planned it) I am not clear on exactly who is hosting. According to Dann it is one of the a-side teams for all the games however if you would like to bring a dessert or something feel free. I think they will be having subs. Sorry for the short notice but it is all I got.
