Sorry

We have talked with the coach from Oak Creek that was heading the Fullerton trip. His team has decided to go to a tournament in Ohio instead for this year. We are really bummed out. The money that was collected as a down payment will be returned to those that gave it to me. Starting in May I will be working on setting our team up for Fullerton in 2010 - that way we won't have this problem again and possibly we can add a second day at lagoona beach or trip to disney land (shhh). There are a few closer tournaments this spring that you all can discuss with Dann. They would be cheaper because we could rent a bus for travel. Again I am really sorry to those of you that worked SO hard to make money for this trip. To Lindsey, Abby, Brit and Sarah H, the money you made from cookie dough will stay in the club account for you to use towards another trip. If you girls would like I will order candy for sales in Feb. Also we have a Friday concessions in Feb. -- please don't leave me by myself! Try to get some of the new girls to help out to get to the team.

I can help out for the concessions if help is still needed.

But just to be random...

So if we do have that home game where we have our fans where pink to support breast cancer/Cancer awareness, I just heard about this different type of breast cancer. IBC-inflammatory breast cancer. It's called a silent killer (just like ovarian cancer) because many doctors just think it looks like bug bites...and by the time they're diagnosed, they're usually in stage 4 or 5 and all hope is lost. A girl 16 years old just died from it because she was too embarrassed to tell her mom that her breasts looked funny. Just an idea...

The link to the short video about it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKq23yMQd0Y

In regards to Sami's comment ^^

She sent me the email, and I watched the video as well. I think that maybe we could also make a poster or something to that effect, to let people know more about IBC.
