Pizza & rugby

Since most of the girls and parents have not seen a real rugby game we will be watching a professional rugby game with commentary from coach Dann. We are hoping that the girls will be able to see how the drills and plays that we are working on will be used during play. The 'Sin Bin', which is owned by the Westside Harlequins (the rugby team that Dann has been affiliated with for almost 30 yrs) has agreed to allow us to use their facilities on Thursday Aug. 14 from 5:30-6:30pm to view a previously recorded rugby game so that we can stop it to discuss pertinent points. The 'Sin Bin's' (a rugby term for penalty box) manager has stated that the time we would be coming in is right at opening and that there are typically no patrons until 7:30ish. We are inviting parents and players (with parent permission) to watch about 50 minutes of rugby and have pizza/soda. While we understand that taking minors into a pub isn't an ideal situation, we feel that the early hours, our long term affiliation with the rugby club and with our supervision there will be no problems. We HIGHLY encourage any parents that are interested in learning more about the game of rugby to attend. We will drive the girls that have parental permission over to the Sin Bin (39th and National) at 5:20 on Thursday. You can pick the girls up around 6:30pm or if you need we can drive them home as we will be finishing an hourish later than usual. Please RSVP so that we know how many pizzas to order.
Thanks,
Dann and Dorothy Watters
